Archival San Francisco Conservatorypigment ink photographs are offered in both limited Collector’s Editions and Open Editions. Collector’s Editions are typically the largest size of the image that will be made. The Edition is limited to 15 prints, and the price of each print in the edition will go up as the Edition sells out. A Certificate of Authenticity (COA) accompanies each print and describes the date of the photograph, the date of the print, print process information, and the status of the edition at the time the print was made.

The photographer reserves the right to issue a second Collector’s Edition of an archival pigment print under the following conditions: (1) The Second Edition will be at least 50% larger in size than the First Edition. (2) The Second Edition will also be limited to 15 prints. (3) The Second Edition will be priced substantially higher than the First Edition. This policy is designed to protect the collector’s investment.

Most photographs are not good candidates for rendering in platinum/palladium. But for those that are, the photographer may opt to release a Platinum Edition of a print in addition to the archival pigment Collector’s Edition. Platinum Editions will also be limited to 15 prints.

Open Editions

Open Editions of photographs will be made in smaller formats than the Collector’s Editions. The largest size of an Open Edition print is at least 33% smaller than the Collector’s Edition. All Open Edition prints are numbered and signed. A Certificate of Authenticity accompanies each print and includes the date of the photograph, the date of the print, and the number of prints made to date. The price of any Open Edition print may rise at any time without notice.
